Leigh Johnson was born in California and lives in london. She takes photographs, makes sculptures, paints, and recently has been working in ceramics. She titles all her works with short stories and poems. Works from the series entitled Lake Placid Ice Show faithfully replicate in ceramic the mangled collection of toys belonging to the artist’s deceased dog. Each object is titled with the artist’s own poems on love and loss, evoking memories of memories.
